Development Enterprise of Achaia Prefecture (N.E.A.) is a Legal Entity under Private Law and constitutes a fully incorporated Development Enterprise of Local Government of Achaia Prefecture. The Enterprise, was
found in 26-5-1997 with the No 41/'97
decision of Development Council Achaia, published in the OFFICIAL
JOURNAL OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC 418/26.5.'97.
A flexible operational structure, allows NEA to constantly adapt to the dominant priorities and focus on many different operational targets. Moreover, the highly qualified scientific personnel enables NEA to implement efficiently a great variant of different and dynamic activities, at the same time.
NEA's organizational structure, as it is derived from the ISO 9001-2000, includes four sectors:
Sector of Programmes
This sector is responsible for scheduling programmes, commissions and services and also for planning and monitoring projects without technical objects (commissions and services).
Sector of Technical Projects
This sector is responsible for planning, managing and monitoring technical projects (pilot projects and studies).
Sector of Specialized Support
This sector is responsible for the quality assurance, risk management, legal and technical adequacy of projects, studies, services and commissions. Finally, is responsible for the management of the quality procedures (i.e. internal, external and administrative reviews).
Sector of Financial Services
This sector is responsible for the financial administration of all NEA's activities, including co-financed projects.
NEA's thematic activities include:
Entrepreneurship focusing on business opportunities, financing programmes, innovation and first level advisory support.
Employment and specifically economic trends and labour market characteristics identification.
Tourism with focus on the methodical promotion of the Achaia Prefecture as well as the wider Western Greece Region and participation to both national and international tourism exhibitions.
Environment and more specifically the promotion of environmental awareness.
Information Communication Technologies.
NEA is
managed by the Administrative Council, from which 5 members are elected
representatives of Self-government Achaia
Prefecture and the remainder 4, are representatives of social institutions.
